Thank you to all the bloggers

October 31st, 2007

That read and posted an advance review for Caine’s Reckoning. I really appreciate the effort. If I could find the review and if you gave me anything to pull out as a quote, I posted it on my websites and linked back to your site.

Again, thank you so much, smooch

A Happy Day

October 27th, 2007

Morning. I am in a very good mood today because, IT’S BEEN RAINING FOR THREE DAYS! score WOOT! (We’re 16 inches below normal rainfall) I didn’t realize how much the constant sunshine was bothering me until idea I looked out yesterday on the grey drenched landscape through a haze of drizzle and said to the dogs, “It’s a gorgeous day, babies.”

Kind of an eye opening moment. Anyway, everything is soaked with moisture, my brown lawn is sprouting green, my mood is light, and my muse is murmuring in my ear. *fingers crossed* Maybe the rain refreshed us all! cheerleader dance1

Those too (?) sexy covers…

October 20th, 2007

They can range from beautiful to raunchy, but there’s no denying those ultra graphic covers get attention. faint The question is good or bad? Do they work for you? Why do publishers go there? Do they need to? Does it bother you to buy them? Inconvenience you because you don’t want your kids or other people’s children to see them? What’s too sexy for you? What’s too subtle?

This is the discussion of the week on my yahoo group and we’ve been fortunate to have Susan Pezzack Swinwood, Editor of SPICE and Mira, be extremely generous with her time and provide extensive input on the philosophy behind Spice covers, how market factors play into cover choice and other such interesting behind the scenes information. Feel free to come on over and join in. We’re a very civilized group. No name calling no attacking. There’s no right response to any of these questions and no wrong response and no one ever gets flamed for their opinion because, well, everyone is entitled. We just sometimes like to discuss the controversial subjects in the chat setting. rhands

Just be advised there is no copying of material from the group. Material is copyrighted. What’s said there stays there. One does have to register to participate to keep out spammers but this is a chat group where people participate at will and no one who stops by is ever added to any mailing list. ipromise

The battle of the bulge escalates

September 13th, 2007

So, sup I joined Curves. Not that I need more curves, just the opposite. I need to get rid of a few that bulked up over the summer. scale I went with the monthly plan because their yearly contract is horrible. Full of pitfalls and lockins. Hopefully, I will please make my butt go. I kind of like that it’s not a gym. That I go in, have a routine set, and go through it. I do best with stuff that’s get in and get out clean. chicken

I’m off to orientation in a bit. I’ve planned a trip for coffee afterwards so I’ll be inspired to get through it. chili

Sarah, stomping off to pack up for return the perfect dresses that fit everywhere but at the chest fit argh2

ACK! In pursuit of a decent dress

August 16th, 2007

So I’ve got to go to a wedding in September. It’s an evening wedding which means formal wear. The question becomes what does a buxom, overweight romance writer of no discernible height find to wear? tellme

I’ll let you know when I find it! idea
